I've found that my goal around every holiday, whether it be conscious or subconscious, is to somehow feel the same excitement and anticipation I did as a kid. All too often, holidays come and go and it all feels so anti-climatic when you're an adult. It's a real shame. This year, we're on the opposite coast as the rest of our family so it's even harder to really feel the Christmas spirit! But as you know me, I rely quite heavily on art to stir up the feels. That's why I illustrated Santa's Grocery List. It's fun to imagine what would be on ol' St. Nick's grocery lists and what sort of errands the big guy would run. Working on this illustration and seeing a cockatiel happily bounce around in his cage to the tune of O Tannenbaum by Vince Guaraldi at my hair stylist's gave me the feeling of the Christmas spirit that I so desperately sought after. And now that I'm feelin' it! I want you to feel it too! So here, until the end of December, you can download this illustration for FREE. It's already sized to 8.5x11 so just download and then print!
And MERRY CHRISTMAS, EVERYONE!
