Mid-century modern is the style that Tonnie requested for her wedding announcements which was a great new challenge for me considering not a lot of brides go for that right now. But art during that time was so fantastic and unique that it was fun to research it a bit more. The announcements are designed to lay in a sleeve so to create a great layering look, I designed 4 different mid-century modern patterns to go on the top of each piece and made them different dimensions. On the back, I brought in more of the bride's colors because this style is all about vibrant colors - and a lot of them.

I illustrated the map in a style I don't usually do also. I was going for a children's illustrative/woodcut look to make it very charming and memorable.
