Jenny & David came to me to design their wedding invitations and I was so excited not only because David is my cousin but also because they told me that music is really special to them, especially the piano. From age 7 to 18 piano was my life so to have this other personal connection to the project was such a treat. I decided to design the front with a brooch-like shape and put my simple piano illustration in there. Threw some lace texture in it to make it look even more vintage and then illustrated some adorable songbirds that I knew would come in handy for the inserts and the return address too. 

Jenny told me that she wanted the invitations to have an elegant feel to them too so I chose a beautiful script font to put their names in and made them as big as possible.  

This also was my first official time using my own photography with my design. Yes. I got to take their engagement pictures! We found a little park in the heart of downtown Salt Lake and had a blast. Congrats Jenny & David! And to see more of their engagement pictures, click here!
